IT-INTERDEV helps businesses use AI safely. With training, with projects and with the Schleuse (German for “lock”). The Schleuse replaces names and credentials before a text goes to a cloud AI.

## AI helps. But not every text belongs in someone else’s cloud.

A contract, an error log, a customer list: it is quickly pasted into an AI chat. After that it sits with a third party. A ban often helps little. Then people use AI in secret.

## The Schleuse: use AI without giving away secrets

The Schleuse sits between your text and the cloud AI. It replaces secrets with stand-in words. It translates the answer back on your side.

**Version 0.1 Alpha · Pilot partners wanted**

1. **You write as usual.** You paste your text into your AI tool.
2. **The Schleuse replaces secrets.** Names, addresses, identifiers and credentials are replaced with stand-in words. This happens on your side, not in the cloud. Amounts and dates stay as they are.
3. **The AI answers, the Schleuse translates back.** The answer contains the stand-in words. On your side they turn back into the real names.

## To be honest

- Version 0.1 Alpha. So far tested only with made-up examples.
- No detection is perfect. A small remainder can be left over. When in doubt, nothing is sent.
- So far measured with German texts only. There is no measurement for other languages yet.
- The Schleuse does not handle audio or video yet. Text, documents, images and scans, yes.
- No review by third parties. No legal review. Our evidence is technical, not a certificate.
- Legally this is pseudonymisation, not anonymisation. The key makes the way back possible and stays with you.

**What is the Schleuse?**
The Schleuse is a program between your text and a cloud AI. It replaces names, identifiers and credentials with stand-in words. It translates the AI's answer back on your side.

**Who is the Schleuse for?**
For everyone who works with texts full of names and numbers. For example office work, energy and farming, law firms, medical practices, municipalities, construction and software development.

**Does the cloud AI see my real data?**
It should only see stand-in words. But no detection is perfect. A small remainder can be left over. That is why the Schleuse checks before sending. When in doubt, nothing is sent.

**What happens to the AI's answer?**
The answer contains the stand-in words. On your side the key translates them back. A round-trip test checks that exactly the original comes out.
